What is GPT Image 2?
GPT Image 2 is OpenAI's image model. You type words, it makes a picture. You can also give it a photo and ask it to change things.
It is really good at three things:
- Writing words inside pictures. Most AI models spell words wrong. GPT Image 2 almost always gets them right. That makes it great for posters, signs, and ads.
- Following layout orders. Tell it "title at the top, logo in the corner" and it listens.
- Any picture shape. Square, wide, tall — it supports the most shapes of any model on our site.
It is also one of the cheapest models here: one picture costs just 3 credits. Try it on the GPT Image 2 model page.
How to write a good prompt (4 simple rules)
Rule 1: Say the main thing first
Start with what you want to see. "A red fox sleeping under a tree" is a great start. Don't start with fancy style words — start with the subject.
Rule 2: Put picture text in quotes
If you want words inside your picture, put them in quotes. Like this:
A birthday card with the words "Happy Birthday, Leo!" in big friendly letters
The quotes tell the model these exact words must appear in the picture.
Rule 3: Add one or two style words
Words like photorealistic, cartoon, watercolor, or 3D render change the whole look. Pick one or two. Too many style words confuse the model.
Rule 4: Say where things go
GPT Image 2 is great at following a plan. Say things like "the title at the top" or "three icons in a row below". It will follow your layout like a map.
